23 hours and 3 centimeters... Enough said

6 more days... but who's counting?!?!

Not that we have ANY control over when the baby comes, but we are no doubt closing in on the finish line! I figure even if I have to be induced 2 weeks late, no matter what, our little Peanut will be in our arms in no more than 3 weeks. For something so amazing, I can be patient for 3 more weeks if that is what it takes.

We decided I should take these last few weeks off of work, so I have been getting our house organized and ready, and doing all of the little projects that I have  wanting to do but have had no time to. I am so thankful I am able to take the time off to really enjoy the end of this chapter in my life. I must thank Dave Ramsey for teaching us to be gazel intense so we can afford to take the time to get ourselves going in the direction we want for ourselves. Thanks be to God! Life is such a blessing!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long! Here is what has been happening over the last month or so:

Tiffany and Jackie threw me a shower with my old gymnastics teammates and coaches. It was such a blast to catch up with everyone! Thank you so much for coming to celebrate with me and for all of the wonderful gifts. Thank you Tiffany and Jackie for a wonderful shower.

Our 4th amigo, Laura, couldn't be there since she is finishing up her 3rd year in med school, but we left a spot for her in this picture. We missed you Lo!

We also had a shower at my Dad and Myra's house. I got to catch up with so many family friends I haven't seen in a long time, and Whit got to meet some of them for the first time. We had a great time and really appreciate everyone's generosity.

This is us with my parents and Tony and Marilyn. They brought pictures of their son, Anthony and I as babies playing together.

We got a little boy outfit that I LOVE so much just like the shirts Whit wears. If Peanut is a boy he can wear it and look just like Daddy. If it is a girl I will probabally just put it with a skirt :-) and she can match her Daddy too.
I loved the cake so much. It was so creative and tasted absolutely amazing!

Thank you so much Myra and Dad, the shower was amazing and we really appreciate it.

We have accumulated all of the necessary baby gear, and of course, a few (haha) extra things. We use baby stand-ins to be sure all straps were assembled correctly. Everything seems to be right so far.

My sister Christy did a maternity photo shoot for us. Here are 2 sneak peak shots she sent to me while she works on the rest of the pictures. Thank you so much Cty! She is such a talented photographer, and has really captured how unbelieveably happy I am. I can't wait to see the rest.

The nursery is just about finished. All that is left to do is get some art on the walls. I made a painting with a bible verse on it to hang over the crib and have had everyone at the showers trace their hand onto it. I love that Peanut will have something from everyone to keep forever.

I feel great, Peanut is perfect, and Whit is very anxious to know if it is a boy or girl. Maybe next time you hear from me it will be from the hospital!
