Life is funny

Field is such a happy baby. It takes almost nothing to make him laugh and if you are lucky, you can get him laughing hysterically. Not sure why he thought this was so funny, but if you catch him in the right mood, say BOO! and he LOVES it. I think this was the third time I turned on the camera because I was laughing so hard you could hardly hear him. Oh yeah, sorry it is sideways.

If that wasn't enough for you, here is another one.
I took this one from the other angle so you can see what he is laughing about.

I love it!

Holiday Orders

Our goal for Thanksgiving orders was 20, and we ended up with 24! Here
is our wall of completed orders wahoo!!

I LOVE BLUEBERRIES!!!!!!!

I have been making Field's food with the Beaba Babycook. He eats oatmeal with fruit for breakfast and rice with veggies for dinner. Lunch depends on his mood, where we are and what I have available. I started giving him oatmeal when he was 4 months old hoping it would help him sleep better / longer (it didn't) and so that he could practice before it became a nutritional necessity. It worked out well because he is a great eater now that he definitely needs it. The pic with the blueberries is really the most mess he has ever made. In fact, I was brave enough to feed him in the car, in his church clothes on the way to church this past Sunday and it worked out beautifully.
So far he has eaten and loved broccoli, cauliflour, zucchini, summer squash, carrots, sweet potato, spinach, apples, bananas, and blueberries. He LOATHES and will not eat white potatoes (weird?!?). I have used garlic and cinnamon to season the food, and I borrowed my mom's AeroGarden to grow fresh herbs to use as well (haven't actually started that yet). Putting so much effort into his food is making me very aware of how poorly Whit and I eat... EEK!!! I'll be working on that now too. Stay tuned for healthier and more fit Whit and Christina coming soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we have more than ever to be thankful for. We have been
working hard with the blessings that God has bestowed upon us and
while we still have a long way to go, I am very proud of us.

Here are my two very handsome men enjoying the weather while throwing
the ball for Maggie.

I've gotcha!

Field's #1 obsession is Maggie. His #2 obsession is grabbing someone by the sides of the face and pulling stubbornly until your nose is in his mouth. Now that he is learning how to use his tongue you really have to watch out... Slobber City!

The big kid seat

Field's first time in the big kid seat. I can't believe how fast he is
growing!

I did not get a free turkey. Just in case you were wondering.

Article on our shop

Just wanted to share an article that was written about us on a prominent BBQ blog. Thanks again for all of  your support. This article really shows us that we are doing something special!!!

Much love,
Christina

My sweetness

Field hangs out in a bouncy seat while we are getting ready in the mornings. If he is going to get in the shower with one of us he hangs out in his diaper waiting for his turn and playing with his feet. He can get them into his mouth now, woo-hoo!

With Great Gma Jean

This is Field's first visit to his Great Grandma Jean's grave. Gma Jean has 6 kids, 26 grandkids and Field is her first great grandchild. It is so special that we live in Gma Jean's house and are glad her memory gets to be a part of our lives every day. They missed meeting each other by just a little while, but I know she is watching over her great grandbaby from heaven.

Helping Daddy drive the voom voom

No laws were broken in the capturing of this moment.

Helping Mommy at the shop

Field has been voted employee of the month for the last three months.
Our customers love to play with him, especially our regulars. I know
it's good for business to have him there with us. Great job Field,
keep up the good work!

Loving tummy time on the krinkly paper at the doctor's office

Field's eye was super goopy when he woke up from a nap on Friday
afternoon (before Halloween), and not wanting to have to deal with the
emergency room on the weekend we decided it would be best to go to the
doctor just in case. They said it was pink eye and gave us drops
(antibiotics). We didn't think it was ponk eye (no other symptoms) so
we only put the drops in 1 time. I'm glad we didn't use them any more
than that because it turned out to be nothing and we would have given
him those antibiotics when he didn't need them. New mommies and
daddies: follow your instincts!!!
